We haven't had a three cent thread in awhile.
So, what about this. It looks like a "button" in the tessellated area above the EN of cents.
Just a random inking or a known plate occurrence. Or just me seeing things that aren't there?





Of course it looks like a bow tie above the first E of Three...

If it's from Plate 2L, it could be anytime from 1852-1857.
