Hi everyone, my name is Jane and I just joined this community. Have been an active stamp collector since about 1982 when an ex-bofriend introduced me to stamps. Have a great husband of 24 years and two grown kids. I started out collecting mostly US stamps but in the last couple of years moved into topical collecting, mainly out of boredom. It was too much hassle trying to keep up with all the new US issues and the issues with unsoakable stamps lately and such. I have been collecting mostly WW stamps with the topic "flora and fauna" animals and plants on stamps. Have managed to amass quite a nice collection through approvals, ebay and trading with other collectors. Also have some "side" collections of used Canada, GB and Australia as well. Was also a cover collector for awhile so I have some of those as well.(Closet's pretty full) Am looking forward to meeting some other collectors here and chatting about some interesting topics

Welcome, Jane!

I collect the King George VI reign of our British Commonwealth, Costa Rica, U.S. (with a specialised collection of air mail and the air postal history of Texas), and two topicals: Cardiology & Customs of Death.

I know what you mean about the modern U.S. not soaking off. I collect U.S. to 2000. Actually, I collect everything used. After 2000, I just collect the U.S. I like.

Hi, Jane! My interests are focused on stamps from Yugoslavia and the republics that were part of Yugoslavia.
Eventually, as time allows, I will sort out my extras, and I am sure I may be able to find some Yugoslavian flora/fauna issues that you might need. Once we get to that point, I will let you know.

Welcome Jane, I sometimes get confused whether I am a cover or a stamp collector..one indication might be that at a stamp show I head for the dollar cover dealers...i am also dabbling in used recent Canada as it comes in..get active on the chat and get your 50 posts and you will find people with similar interests to trade with etc:

Welcome Jane

I love your choice of topicals. I am a horticulturalist and have started a topical on the subject. I have many spares that would fit into your collection. When you get your 50 posts in we can talk about trading.

Oh and by the way I don't discrimate I looove all stamps.
