I got this strip today. Scott #267. I don't know why but it caught my eye. The print on the side that says Bureau of printing and engraving is what set this out for me.
I believe the catalog value is $57.00. Can anyone shed more light on the actual value?

Actual value as always is what someone will pay for it, but this is a nice set of three, well centered, good color, printers logo & a low plate #. I'd think it could do well in a auction.

Very nice piece. My budget won't allow me to go after mint examples of things like that so I look for used. Believe me, the used ones can be tough.

I recently started collecting mint U.S. and found that I really like the older stamps. The colors and designs were better than they are now. The stamps represented something worthy of being put on a stamp. Now they will put just about anything on a stamp.

Shark:

Nice margin strip of three. I really like U.S. marginal markings. According to my 2005 edition of The Durland Plate Number Catalog, your mint plate strip of three lists at $20. If it was a block of six, $180.

Hope this helps.

That auction (310156163432) is a little out of my price range. Very nice looking stamps though.
