Is My Stamp An Scott 554 Washington 2 Cent

I'm trying to get the hang of identifying my stamps. Its frustrating at times, fun most of the time. There are grey areas many times. Any way I think I have this stamp down to an scott 554. It is 11 X 11, 19 X 22 if I have it all correct. An imperforate side?? vertical?

Perforated 11 x 11 there are two choices, Scott 554 which was printed on a flat plate press and Scott 595 which was printed on a rotary press. As your pair has a straight edge at the right it is the flat plate printing. The rotary press printed stamps do not come with a straight edge at the right unless they were part of a booklet pane, but there are no rotary press perforated 11 x 11 stamps that were part of a booklet pane. Additionally your pair was not part of a booklet pane as the left stamp would also have a straight edge at left. Your pair is a Scott 554 flat plate printed.

I have a bunch of letters from 1910-1920, mostly cancelled from 1920... I know nothing about stamps, but see the exact same stamps I have selling on ebay for hundreds of dollars.... how do I go about finding out what I have or are they not worth anything?

Just because something is selling for hundreds of dollars on ebay does not mean it is actually worth that amount. There are also certain stamps that are quite valuable that look similar to very common ones. Post up a few pictures of what you have and we will let you know if there is any value. I wouldn't count on it but it's worth taking a look.
