We laugh, rightly so, at sellers like this. But they do lot of damage to our hobby.
I've contacted other sellers like this in the past; none of them, of course, collect themselves. Usually they are folks who haunt estate sales, put what they find on
ebay, throw it st the wall and see if it sticks. They know nothing about stamps and waste everyone's time and patience on this worthless stuff.
Did anyone else note this comment in her listing:
'It has a published catalog value, that professional philatelists use to determine current market value.'
Of course she didn't list the catalog # or value. Probably she just thought this would add to the aura of this listing.
