$325,000.
Will also comment that in my quest to turn my young children on to stamp collecting and teach them a little, I have used the inverted Jenny pictures to try to stimulate interest. Upside down plane/error seems cool to me. I have shown them the picture and ask what is wrong with it? I also tell them how expensive the stamp is. Unfortunately my strategy has not worked but I may keep trying. |

I bought this cover on ebay last year. It is as close as I will ever get to owning a C3a. As many of you know it is # 4086a x 18. I thought that $13.50 or so was reasonable. It allows me to dream without having to pay too much. |

well, the British Guiana was sold at Sotherby's for 9.5 million. However, there are a few of the inverts of the sweet Jenny's exist. It would be amazing if goes over 3 million depends on the advertisement and contacts to bid. Sotherby's are not just specified with stamps, so they have a very large clientele. They publicized that stamp immensely. Maybe the shoe man owner who bought the rare British Guiana would be interested in this one too for his collection. That is pretty cool he was able to purchase the British G. There are people who truly love the rarest ones. The B.G. has gone up with value so much as an investment after years. What a nice amount for a seller and great commission to an auction house! Best Wishes to the one who gets to buy the inverted Jenny! |

The only thing that interests me about this stamp is that it had two certificates in quick succession and that the APEX opinion was spot on to that of the PF. aPEX in my opinion has always been given a bad rap and their opinions looked down upon by a certain segment of the hobby; it's nice to see that they were right there with the PF on this rare stamp with both a fault and alterations. |

If a perfect one was estimated 1.2 million. Over 1/2 million my estimate with its tiny faults. Spending that kind of money, you surely want to know how much the jenny has increase over years for investment purposes. It will depend on the clientele, demand and advertisement for this specific Jenny stamp. Seigels has a wonderful professional reputation for US and World International Stamps. The British Guiana was so publicized by Sotherby's in different locations outside of auction house too. News Media wrote articles around the world on it. The day it was sold, they broadcasted it as well. In my opinion, that type of exposure was beneficial for the seller and the auction house.

Excellent guess stampcrow! If there was a prize, I would wish it was, that you would find many OB stamps in your future. |
