Need Your Help To I.d These Rotary Stamps, I'm Sure There 539's

The only option in 1919 would be Scott 539 with perf 11 on top.

The 2 cent stamps are perf 11 on all sides.

But if you are sure, you should send this stuff in and get it certified.

Although I can't be sure (a closer scan would be helpful) the cancel date appears to be April of 1918. Even if it is 1919, the EDU for #539 is 6/30/19, and Max Johl give an issue date of 6/14/19. Is there any censor marking on the back? Since WW-I was still in progress, shouldn't the cover be censor examined? What is the measurement of the design? It doesn't look "square" enough to me. Also, a scan of just one of the two-cent stamps might help in identification.

I just purchased it the other day and it's in the mail too me,my camera won't get any better pictures than this anyhow,I'll look for a date stamp on the back when it comes,I thought it looks 11 X 11 too but if I blow it up 300X and try to match the side and top perfs they won't match up correctly.Whatever they are there rotary for sure so not bad for 2 Euro's.

The other stamp post I put up here that I thought was a 332B Lake I sent in and will let you know what they say,it really looks like a lake but they will have to decide.

Sure - send them in to the Philatelic Foundation. They don't look like rotary press, they have the wrong perforations, but maybe you can convince them they are SC 539 any way. BTW - there is only one known SC 539 on cover - if you convince the PF you will be rich !
