Hi everyone, I am not really a collector of stamps but about 5 years ago I started collecting a few. I have no idea how it came to be in my collection but I have a Postage Stamp booklet from about 1953 which still has 2 unused Queen Elizabeth II, 3 1/2d stamps in it (red background, queen looking to left). The booklet originally contained 12 stamps but when I got it only 2 were left, and the booklet was in pretty bad shape (thread holding it together is falling apart, one page behind the 2nd sheet of 6 stamps is mostly torn off etc). I have looked around for a while and can't find more than the approximate date it was issued. Now for the questions
1. Are these booklets common?
2. Is my guess of 1953 accurate?
3. and of course, would it be worth much at all?

Here is a few pictures of the booklet:

Now that I have had a look at my collection for the first time in 3 years I think I will get back into the hobby a little bit .

Hi Nails,

First let me welcome you to the SCF.

Always nice to see someone coming back to the hobby.

This stamp is part of the Queen Elizabeth II definitive series of 1953.
Catalogue value is AUS$0.25 each. I doubt that the booklet would add any value accept to someone that may particularly want it.

Steve
