One of my favorite post cards was postmarked 110 years ago today. This view across Mendocino bay is quite typical of a July day on the coast, foggy. Happy 4th everyone! Always a special day for me, it was Dad's birthday. His 118th.

First 4th of July away from my bride in 47 years, as we celebrate our anniversary. I am away because, our son had surgery.
