US Commerative Faceoff

Just for fun, I thought we might have a commerative faceoff. I'll select 12 different U.S. issues in pairs and we'll vote them down to a single issue winner. There will no magic in my choices, but they will represent different 'eras' of U.S. postal history. I'll put up a new pair every day until we have a winner. Just reply with your choice.

Of this pair, I'll go with the engraved 1006. Really only because of the detailed workmanship involved.
