Hi, here is one of my hobbies aside from stamps, bonsai, the stamps show an overhang style bonsai, one of the hardest to do and display, and the upright triple-trunk single foliage.

Anyone has bonsai or trees in their stamps?

I have 2 bookmarks made from stamps depicting Bonsai. I tried my hand at Bonsai around 8 years ago, but they all eventually died. Illinois has some very harsh Winters & Summers. I admire the skill & patience required to train the plant.

Beautiful stamps Nic. I have never seen Bonsai on stamps before. Do you have any pictures of your trees?

Great bobgggg! what youve got there is the prodocarpus tropical pine tree, one of the most difficult trees to bonsai! takes real long years, ones on your stamp is easyly 15 to 20 years oold.

Here's another, the left one is the wind blown tree, the easiest to do, takes only 8months to get that done.

Yes carol, I have pics of my bonsai, but they can never match the one's shown on the stamps! it will surely be a letdown, sometime soon when I get enough courage to show them

Fantastic artwork bonsai you have there bobgggg, the most expensive bonsai would be the overhang 0,18 stamp, and so difficult to maintain too! lost one of those, couldnt attend to them due to work schedules.

Thanks for the pics bobgggg!
