One thing Jubilee's stamp does for me, is to send up a "warning" immediately. That colour purple is beautiful to look at, but don't put it anywhere near water.
There is an India Revenue, quite common, I think it is a 1 anna issue in very light magenta, I placed it in cold water for a soak, then "She, who must be obeyed" had me doing chores, (as they do) I came back an hour or so later, and I had what looked to be a blank perfed piece of paper.

Haven't had a chance to try it, but read something by someone who worked with biological stains who said that putting vinegar into the water when soaking purple stamps kept fugitive inks from running. I believe he said that the idea came from working with eosin stain.
