I would like to see what everyone likes. See what different tastes people have with their collecting.

This is my favorite in my collection right now.

That is a nice plate number imprint strip of three. I can see why you would love it.

I have a couple of favorites. I suppose my most favorite is my US number 1, followed by the 1909 Lincoln commemorative on bluish paper.

As a group my favorites are all the Washington/Franklins.

I couldn't come up with a single stamp that is my favorite.
Then I came up with a smart alek response ---
My favorite stamp is the one I'm holding in my hands at the time.

I like the King George V and VI and Queen Elizabeth II definitive and pictorial stamps from around the world.

But when I saw this little ermine fellow (same family as otters, etc) he had that twinkle in his eye, same as Santa Claus or the Mona Lisa, and I had to have him. (I still don't have him!)

Also, on my first fishing trip when I was 10, I caught a little trout minnow and then an otter came along, scared the rest of the fish away, stuck his head out of the water looking at me and gave me an ear full of otter words. Quite a traumatic event for a little fellow (me and the otter)!

My favorite stamp, my avatar on the left! a 1960's stamp, it's one of only two bamboo organs still in use, and located in a church very near my place.

Not my favourite, but well up there,
and a modern stamp.
Finland 2009

I don't know what it is about this stamp, but it resonates.
It suggests a healthy mental atmosphere,
Good friends having a good time.
I can almost hear the risque and witty jokes from the boys....

apologies if it has been posted before.

Beautiful scans Jubilee with perfect alignment..full points.
It is probably "artistic licence" with the engraver on this issue,
but in reality, I don't think they ever cut the Elephants tusks so short,
they just took off the pointy bits.

Thanks guys. This is the best one of these I've seen and I'm glad to own it. You may be right about the tusks too, but I'd never noticed!

I don't think I have matured enough as a collector to clearly have established in my mind my favorite 1 or even 10 stamps. I can do that for other interests but I still have too much of a quanty mindset. I appreciate many and enjoy exploring them. The Bahrain stamp is impressive for it's condition and I do like these multi-color vintage British stamps and many classic stamps so with much engraved detail (vs. color pics).
