POLLING WILL END September 16th, one week from today. Sharksfan has come up with an interesting idea of selling a souvineer sheet with proceeds going to the Stamp Community Forum to help offset costs. Here is a link to that discussion: https://goscf.com/t/5873If agreed upon to go forward we can have a design contest to determine what the sheet will look like. Please chime in with any suggestions, thoughts, etc. This is everyones Forum. THE FINAL RESULTS ARE: No 13%=3 votes, Maybe 13%=3 votes, and Yes 75%=18 votes. Next will be the design contest!

spock1k, The only way we could make it have "postal validity", if you mean for actual use as postage, would be to print them via a personalized stamp website ie. USA sites would be Zazzle.com, Stamps.com, and Endicia.com. The stamp sheets are usually twice the actual cost of the face value of the stamplike label. |

I would still seriously consider making it a Local Post which would increase interest to a wider range of collectors. Cinderellas for Expos & Philatelic groups is a very narrow focus of collectors, where as, if it's a Local Post, the aforementioned group would still collect the sheet, but we would draw interest from local post collectors & ASFEW (a stamp from everywhere) collectors. Plus if some were precanceled, with say "SCF" between two lines, would bring in some of those collectors as well.
You can still make in simpler form while at the same time expand the interest base at no additional cost to produce the sheet!

Mike if it is voted with a majority of "YES" then everyone can submit their designs during the design contest and we'll see which one wins. It will be interesting to see what different formats and types everyone comes up with. Creativity and fun at its best. |

Just one more day for the poll. Let your voice be heard. As they say in Chicago "Vote and Vote Often". LOL |

I really like the precancel idea. Can personalized stamps be precanceled?

The poll will be closing tomorrow morning to give all the WW members a fair chance to vote. I'll do this when I'm able to sign in after a nights sleep to see the final results. I have a feeling that there won't be a need for a recount while I'm in Florida next week. LOL! |

Sounds like it could be a good contest, if we decide to go with it.
It could picture our logo...if we had one...! |
