A few weeks ago I became a stamp collector because a family friend gave me his stamp collection. I have never collected stamps, but while going through his albums, I discovered the uniqueness that some stamps have, and have learned to respect the history behind each and every stamp.
I'm glad that I found this forum.

 to the forum. You have a lot of fun ahead of you studying and identifying what you have in your collection, and learning what areas you're interested in and want to collect further. Is the collection you've been given World wide or a specific country/coutries? There are plenty of people here to help you with any aspect of collecting. Enjoy! Balf |

The collection that I have is mostly made up of Vatican City Stamps, from the 50-70s, and Nicolas Copernicus stamps and first day covers. |

Welcome to Stamp Collecting and the SCF. I've never had / seen any Vatican stamps in person. Perhaps you could start a thread about them and post pics!  |

G'Day Awmartin and to the forum, I love collecting covers too and will have a Vatican FDC of Pope Paulus VI,It comes with a cover catch I've just won off ebay  .  |

No, problem I would love to create a separate Vatican thread. Right now I am categorizing everything and taking pictures right now. I will post them as I go along. I will also post some Vatican covers that I have also. |
