Anyone can help.
As part of my research I come across a few things.
The Federation of Central America from JUNE 13,1921-JAN. 14,1922 it's members were Guatemala, El Salvador & Honduras.
On JAN. 14, 1922 Guatemala withdrew followed by El Salvador on FEB. 4, formally ending on FEB 7, when Honduras finally realized it was over.
Each State issued their own stamps during the Federation Of Central America, but Scott's Catalog is incomplete with date of issue missing on some stamps during this time.
Does anyone have the dates of issue for the stamps from these states during this time?

Also earlier there was the Greater Republic of Central America from Sept. 15, 1896-Nov. 1, 1898 which morphed into the United States of Central America from Nov. 1-20, 1898. This nation included El Salvador, Honduras & Nicaragua, but not Guatemala.
Again the same question, what issues fall within given dates?

Include regular issues, officials, registration & postage due.

Thank for your Help!
Mike

I know someone has the Guatemala specialized catalog that may show the dates of stamps issued around the sametime as noted above!

Let me take a stab at it. But first, I only speak for Guatemala stamps and share with you the words of Col. Romeo Routhier (deceased c2000). Col. Routhier lived in Guatemala from around 1950 until his death and was an expert on Guatemala stamps. His collection was phenomenal and he claimed to have every Guatemala stamp issued. I saw his collection and his claim was, to me, certainly believable.
I experienced uncontrollable drooling when I would visit him and see his collection.
He was the Scott catalog representative for stamps of Guatemala. He told me that Scott's catalog numbers are the most accurate and complete and up to date of all Central American countries. At least until his death. I don't have a Scott specialized catalog, so I cannot tell you what's in there.

In the "regular" Scott catalog for issues between Jun 13, 1921 to Jan 14, 1922 for Guatemala, there are only a few regular issues (no airs, registered, officials or postage due).

Listed are September 1, 1921: # 172-174. Also in 1921 (no month or day) are #175-177. No Jan. 1922 issues are listed. That's it, just 6 stamps. Now we wait to see what a Scott specialized catalog may have listed.

Thanks Marty, So clearly Scott 172-7 were issued while part of the Federation of Central America. Plus one unlisted, but noted, Official issue overprinted on 172.

Does anyone have any info on the other states?

Mike, I have the Guatemala postal history and philately volume 2 which covers Guatemala from 1902 to 1971..it just mentions the stamps issued in 1921 and 1922 by Guatemala..nothing about the other Central American countries...

I didn't know Scott had a specialized catalog for Guatemala!

When did that come out? Or have I misunderstood these posts?
