I find it interesting that it is an artists conception of Cancer. I can't believe that it was achieved without the help of some substance or other.

Perhaps it was someone who had a traumatic experience with cancer (losing a loved one, or something). I have a friend that lost his wife to an armed robber, and ever since, he has drawn the most amazing, albeit morbid, charcoal sketches of gun-wielding demons. His mental state has never been the same since the incident, and I think his only remaining strand of sanity is released through his drawings.
