Alas no, my used from that era is from early collecting days. Once I started spending more serious money I collected MUH only. I can keep an eye out for you though if you'd like me to source one.

Sure!

Just a note to all... will put the first installment up on Sunday or Saturday night. We are dealing with the family cat dying.

David meant to ask what is the story (info) on your avatar. I had come across one last night while sorting. I am no means up on this subject but am also awaiting a good read.

Mac:

My avatar is the 3-cent Mufti of 1937. The 0700 precancel is for Montreal, PQ. The 3-cent stamp payed the domestic letter rate for the firt part of the KGVI-reign in Canada. The colours (red & white) are the national colours of the Dominion. It's my favourite Canadian and KGVI-reign stamp series.

That's why I chose it as my avatar.

Stand by for more goodies!

Wow!!

What amazing work David. I have always loved the history behind stamps and you have just reinforced that.

I haven't forgotten about you. as soon as I have 2 days off in a row and I have put my gardens to bed I'll dedicate the time to sort through my KG VI ( I have tons from Great Brittain, Australia New Zealand) I'll forward off my spares to you.

It's starting to now. We had a major fire in August so we're now in full construction. I only have to work 5 days a week now so as soon as my gardens are cleaned up I'll have more time.

I'm thinking of trying to sort out the Aussie KGVI tonight if I don't run out of steam.
