Whn I was a young fool stationed in Italy and the exchange rate was 6 to 1 in my favor(its the other way around now) I used to drink Campari like it was iced tea...i have a fairly serious Italy collection to about 1958..now I am interested in stamps with advertising attached and have to decide whether to incorporate them into my country collections or start a separate topic !

Hi Phil

I suggest start a new topic. There are some real nice items around with averts like this NZ one for sale at Rubystamps $200.

New Zealand has numerous advertising stamps, printed on the back of the stamps in the 1890's and later on on the salvage of booklet panes.

I'm sure there would be many other countries with something similar

Hi Bruce, Yes, I was thinking along a separate topic line..i have a Belgian advertisement stamp and I believe a French one..my wife is pretty good at making up pages for her topics..by the way New Zealand is popular within our stamp club as is British Commonwealth..i think the stamps of the natural parks are very attractive...

So, philb, which way did you decide to go?

Here is a recent Singer acquisition...

(I thought there was another thread with these stamps, but I didn't run across it in casual searching.)
