So this is the first I have seen of this. Purchased a collection that was catalogued wrong and wrong description so I returned to the seller. Payment was refunded, then a alert comes up on my account to accept a cancel transaction from the seller.
So here is my question. Is this how they get out of Neg. or Neutral feedback? Which I rarely leave negs. but they did deserve a neutral feedback on this one with a note.
Already did some research and they will be credited for their fees but I am out the shipping to return item.
First time this has happened. Any opinions on this one?

Have well over 300 transactions on ebay and this has never happened to me. Try and work it out with the seller so as to keep your record clear. In other words don't get nasty or anything. A clear record is worth the effort.

This is a standard procedure for sellers. This is how ebay sellers get out of paying end-of-auction fees. A seller is not obligated to pay for your return shipping but I would contact seller anyway and ask about the reimbursement. Many sellers don't have problem with that especially when lots were described incorrectly. Don't worry seller can't leave any negative feedback for buyers anymore ( ebay has recently changed that).

The seller SHOULD be willing to reimburse you, especially if he is a member of APS or another society. It's certainly worth asking.
