yes it's #1050 under the People's republic of China.

My catalogue is from 1995 and the catalogue price then was $4.00

just never know what we might have deep in those piles and piles of stamps we have.Everytime I've glanced at these I never thought anything of it til yesterday when I was looking up this china stamp id found and just glanced at the value of some of the more modern stamps and I noticed there value so I thought id investigate to see what I had and sure enough I have many

Tina,

Try to get them together into COMPLETE SETS as much as possible before you sell them. You will get a much better price that way, especially for MNH. While Scott will list prices for individual stamps in those sets, that is primarily for dealers when they sell -- protection/incentive for them to break a set when necessary. When buying, broken sets get an extremely small fraction of catalog value from dealers.

Patience in assembling complete sets from your accumulation will pay off in the long run.
