1775 - totally, agree, buy in July, sell in December. Collections get silly money just before xmas

You may be right Mac, but like you said, if you shop the bargains it really doesn't matter. Besides, I have to have at least a monthly auction fix or I get the shakes!

NY stamps that's where the catch of over five hundred covers came from so I was lucky to get them at the price I did,there is only one thing I don't like about NY Stamps and that is they advertise the some albums are sold as received and when you scan his photo's there are stamps missing from the pages,you can see the stamp missing out of the holder or the remanence of a hinge so I say to myself this has been picked over and look somewhere else and by doing that found the Jefferson Collection from another seller.
Just my thoughts

I would be surprised if Jim does this, he is usually very honest, it is more likely that the consignee sent the best stamps to one seller (or sold them themselves) and sent the remaindered collection to a general collection dealer such as NY stamps. I do this myself when disposing of albums (but do not send to NY stamps)
