Israel Catelog Question

I have a question for LondonBus or another Israel expert.

The only Carmel Israel Stamp Catalog I have been able to find on the Internet is a 2008 copy for $40 (post paid) from Israel.

Is this a decent price? Is there a better place to pick up a copy, maybe even a newer edition?

$40 for a 2008 copy is about right. I have just checked an Israel dealer who has the same year for the same price. A 2006 copy is about $8 cheaper.
I am not sure of the price of the latest [new] edition but can try to find out for you.
I got my 2006 copy at the World Stamp Exhibition here in 2008 for $22, which was a special show offer ! Not too special as you can see.
Like other catalogues, I only buy every few years because of the cost.
If you want to check out the catalogue before buying a new edition I have an old [1993] copy in good condition which I can send you for FREE !! I just have to find it in my [secret] bedroom cupboard !

There are other catalogues available aside from Carmel. I have not seen any of them except the expensive Bale catalogue which also covers Pre-state and Interim material. A superb catalogue but very pricey.

The Stamp Fair advertised is the monthly philatelic event in Israel. I will be going to the one in January as I usually go to Tel Aviv for my Birthday treat !

BTW, where is Yad Hanna, Lev Hasharon? I've been to Israel three times and been to all the touristy places and spent a lot of time in Haifa looking around while on leave from the Navy, but that's been years ago now.

Yad Hanna is 13kms due east of Netanya, which is one of the chief coastal resorts 35kms North of Tel Aviv.

We are situated on the Old Green line [Pre-1967], 1 mile from Tulkarm, one of the biggest cities in what will one day be Palestine.
We are served by a once-a-day Postal Van [Not Fridays or Saturdays] and local buses.

Formerly the only Communist Kibbutz in the State of Israel, now a growing village of what will be over 300 families. A period of immense change has taken us over which partly explains my disappearances from the forum now and then. I just got too involved in all thats going on and everything else took a back seat.
