a long time ago, I would've said, I collect stamps because I like it!

today, I collect stamps because it's in my DNA can't help it, there must be a stamp gene there somewhere

Like all addictions it grows on you until you can't stop without counselling. And who wants to go to a shrink or councillor? Not me!

Of course not! You'd have to spend money that should be going to your collection.

Great Tread and Posts Everyone.

If I'm not one Yet I'm well on my way to becoming a hoarder.

1. I have more stamps than I'll go through in a life time.

2. I have a room dedicated to my collection and after 2 years I'm already runny out of room.

Why do I collect stamp.

That's easy: Cause I looooove it.

And I was able to meet all you great guys and gals.

Dianne

I've been waiting on this one for 4 days and none of you guys have posted it, so I will...

Q: Why do I collect stamps?
A: I wanted to collect women, but my wife wouldn't let me.

Good one

Instead of collecting them why don't you do like I do:

Hang out at the gym for a couple of hours a day. That's how I get my fill of cute hunks.

Greetings All

I collect for the shear enjoyment of it all.

A friend of mine showed me his old Schaubeck (sp) album that was printed in the 1940s in three languages. From that point on, I was hooked. I started out with a 25 cent album and shared a bag of 1000 stamps for a dollar with my brother and sister and ended up with their collection. I have since created 60 + albums for my collection with all the varying interests.

I like the history behind the stamps as well.

I also have a library on stamps ans specialties and save clippings from the major stamp magazines and papers.

Why do I collect stamps? Well. for one thing, it has relieved a lot of tension from a nad day at work etc (took early retirement anyway <G>)and spend literally endless hours on the hobby - not to mention money :(

In response to King Conn's original
There is a stamp that honours Leonard Sherman (The Dag Stamp)
I have no idea from whence it came, probably a MAD comic.
