Earlier, you helped me identify a couple of individual stamps from the middle east. I have some more I've come across, is there a website that you know of that will help me identify those stamps that don't have words I can read, just a lot of pictures & symbols? (I accidentally put this message in the wrong forum earlier...I'm still getting used to where I am on this website.... Thanks
You're not just a great website, you guys are FANTASTIC. Here are my unknowns. They may be upside down since I can't tell up from down on some of these. One may be Lebanon(one with the man on it). If not, let me know please.
WOO HOO!! I just got myself a set of 2009 Scott catalogs. Once I get them, maybe I can be a bit more informed when I post things.
Second from top: February 1922 Saudi Arabia (Hejaz) L34 1/2pi red. Cat. $0.45. Known forgeries are in existence and I tend to lean towards that one being a forge. The central image is known to be bold and shaded as opposed to your outline. The stamp should be perf 11.5. Known forgeries are perf 11.
Bottom left: October 1916 Saudi Arabia (Hejaz) L1 1/4pi green. Cat. $32.50. Forgeries are known to exist and it seems that the furthest number in sequence is a 4. The catalog image shows it as being a 6 from what I can see. Hang on to it but it's something that you may want to have authenticated.
