Hey Puzzler & nuggethill. We were not expecting a comment on the avatar stamp process. :) That's a very good description with so few words. Thanks for sharing about Australian KGVs. I would just add to the description : rough paper ~ a bit hard to see on the screen!

I put a sheet of matte black paper behind stamps when I scan them so the perfs show up better. Or use a Vario black page. But the black does draw attention away from the design of the stamp itself at times.

Thank you very much Bobby for activating my avatar.

You may be snowed in but we had heaps of humidity & over 6" of rain last night. That's the sub~tropics we live in! Keep warm & we'll chill & stay dry.

We live on an island called Russell Island, which is at the southern end of Brisbane's huge Moreton Bay. Everything travels by water.

Our island is the largest Moreton Bay inhabited island at approx 13k long X 4k wide.

All our image posts will come with a black background. Agreed it's a lot better presentation.

Londonbus1: We are a full on family & there's 7 of us. I collect the stamps, my wife does a lot of my typing for me; she knows more about computers than I do. Our Australian decimal collection is our family collection & our posts are a collaborative effort. We only collect used stamps because of our climate. That's why the family flavour of this forum is so attractive to us. Thanks for asking.

nuggethill: We used to live in Sydney ~ many, many moons ago ~ Yowie Bay & Sylvania.
