Hello Tina,

To differentiate them is really hard but interesting work,

http://bbs1.paipai.com/g40016c6i16198s0p0.html

Above is a link to differentiate all original and reprint stamps of China.

Original=原版

Reprint=再版

Some difference by paper or colour:

"纪5" Pigeon,reprint is white and thin paper,original is yellowish and thick paper,and the "中国人民邮政" and Face Value due to printing pressure,there are dent trace on the stamp's back.

"纪8" the shake hands one,reprint is pale green(looks like more yellow),original is deep green.Reprint design line is clear,especially for the map part.

"纪9" the Chairman Mao's portrait,reprint is thin and more hard paper,the original is thick and quagginess,reprint is deep red colour,original is bright red colour.

"特1" the China National Emblem,reprint is whiter and light-colored than original.

"特4" the radio gymnastic exercises,the reprint is thicker and whiter than original.

I do not have all the real object,and some of these stamps are still hard to differentiate by me use above method.The best way is have the real object to practice makes perfect.

ZhangCheng, Thank you for that link. I have a lot of these and could never tell the differance. I'll have to dig them out. I stopped collecting WW years ago. But I still have most of them.

Hi Tom and Khj, you are welcome.

It is a start to clear confused, or get more confused, but it will be a progress of knowledge, and it always is about money(earn or spend) along with more knowledge you have.
