.......If you can't maybe this will help......

For the most part the USPS does a great job at a lower rate then anywhere else in the world, but lately they've apparently lowered their own standards. The loss of revenue over the past few years is beginning to take it's toll. In many offices they are removing outlet windows that in the past have allowed collectors to buy whatever was available. Now the only options are to buy full panes to obtain a single and most of the time there are only a few different stamps on hand. But.....there are two options that many collectors don't know about for new issues........You can get an order form to buy directly from "The Cave" in Kansas by asking your postal people for a copy of USA Philatelic. It literally is a temperature controlled limestone cave. Shipping is very low and there is no mark-up on anything.

The other option is a Providence Post Office that caters to collectors, article from Linns.

Also, most of the PO's now have to order all their stamps from the cave and it is taking longer to receive the requested stamps. Just yesterday the main po in Springfield only had the Olympic stamps as the newest issue of first class stamps, at least that is what I was told when I asked for the distinguished marines stamps.

In my small town, we see a lot of restaurants come and go. A new place opens and gets lots of traffic because people always go to new places. After the "new" wears off, the amount of business contracts a bit and the restaurant owner gets nervous. Nervous restaurant owners react in one of two ways -- try to save money by reducing the quality of the food; or try to save money by reducing the amount of wait staff. Either way, the dining experience becomes less pleasant and then business really suffers.

Maybe I'm just rambling nonsense, or maybe there's a parallel lesson to be learned?
