Destamp, you knocked me over with the C11 block. Just absolutely wonderful, of course coming from a C11 collector. Could you show the whole cover and might be able to narrow it down. The cancel is one that is not familiar but I would also like some information on that one.

Destamp,

I have seen this cancel before, and want to say it's from someplace like Cheyenne, WY or someplace in Oklahoma or whatever, but can't recall. The best authority for these cancels is a book by Foster Loso and Heyliger deWindt , The Complete Picture Guide of United States 20th Century Fancy Cancellations, 1952. This famous cancellation is sure to be there.

Awesome piece.

Stallzer,

I love your 136 pair! Question: On the right stamp, what is that arching up from the right center? Is that another cancel, or something in green?

In response to Battlestamp's posting about 20th century anachronisms, here is a decidedly late copy of a target cancel.

Here are a few more. The first was shown earlier on a 210, but I thought the townmark on this one helps to pin it down.

These others are rather odd. What do you make of them?

Ahh the kicking mule! I always "assumed" (yes, I know the euphemism) it was one of the Waterbury fancy cancel family like the Running Chicken...lol I actually have a kicking mule someplace! (everything I have is now packed in boxes) I'll dig it out and scan it when I get them all unpacked.
