In previous discussions, Potter has opposed ceasing Saturday delivery callint it the one day when most people (who work through the week) have a chance to interact with their mail carrier.

As I recall, Tuesday is the slow day for USPS deliveries, so Potter was open to considering possibly eliminating deliveries that day.

I guess we'll have to wait and see .. .

Hi All

My wife was telling me that she also heard about the elmination of Saturday delivery in the US on a radio station here in Canada.

Personally, I am surprised that the USPO kept the Saturday delivery for so long.

We haven't had Saturday delivery here for close to 40 years.

Being the smart alec that I am, I'm sure it's just the
Paypal printing labels that is keeping delivery going on Saturday.
Today I recieved the usual junk mail. 6 circulars from local
supermarket/grocers, a "value" pack/envelope of more assorted
advertising, and a "you're preapproved" credit card offer.
I don't need Saturday delivery. And the local post offices
haven't been open for years, only the lobbies so folks can
get to their post boxes.

Same here Towards

The lobbies are open Saturday and Sundays here as well so that those who are off on the weekends can pick up mail they missed through the week.

Cheers
