"Stamps In Israel are Kosher and every time you lick a stamp, you consume a tenth of a calorie."

I got this quote off the website of a dealer of Israeli material. maybe Londonbus1 or someone else in the know will know if it's true or not.

We have heard that the adhesive on that stamps in Israel is Kosher. We have also heard that some kids glues are classified as Kosher too - because kids might eat them. Readers have told us the same about U.S. stamps. Apparently they are veggie too! (Smithsonian National Postal Museum)

The United States Postal Service assures its customers that whey will not get fat licking stamps. There is no more than one-tenth of a calorie's worth of glue on every stamp. (Source: Absolute Trivia)

And then........................ Self adhesive stamps

Maybe I should just start eating stamps for snacks. Low in calories, high in fiber and kosher to boot!

I've heard about stamps with LSD on the back, but never calories. Maybe those chocolate stamps from Switzerland...

The gum on all Israel Stamps is Kosher, but I cannot vouch for Self-Adhesives !

I heard that Jewish populations in the Diaspora have those water pads for affixing stamps to their letters. Those pads that always fascinated me as a child when in the Post office with Mum.

Londonbus1....Prone to the odd falsehood
