Once again I seek clarification of the rules before I put my foot in it again. Suppose we are having a problem identifying a stamp or a cancellation of a particular country, if there is a forum out there that specializes in that country, am I allowed to post its URL? Thanks in advance for all clarification.

I don't see why you shouldn't. We have had similar sites referenced before.

Posting a link to another stamp forum just for the sake of posting it? No. Not allowed. We're trying to build a community here, not show people the door.

To be honest, your obsession with posting links elsewhere is getting quite annoying. It started with your very first post and hasn't stopped since. I even had to modify the rules because you thought it would be acceptable to manually add a linked signature to every single post since you couldn't add it to your profile until you reached 100 posts. Even after you were told you weren't allowed to on the 13th you continued to do it persistently until you noticed I manually removed them all.

Tony I suggest you read the 2nd page from this link for further clarification.

Once again I thank you for the clarification. I sincerely never thought that entering my name at the end of a message constituted a signature. I suppose my idea of "signature" is something a lot more complicated. Now that you have made it absolutely clear what is what and what isn't I assure you I will not even write a cheers or a bye. For all I know that might represent a signature.

You will notice that I asked for clarification prior to posting a URL of another forum. I cannot see how my doing so can be understood as trying to show people the door of this forum and inviting them to another. I have four editions of Encyclopedia Britannica and yet I still use google once in a while.

It is obvious that I have offended and infuriated the staff. For that I apologize.

Well now your feeble attempt to make me look petty has made me even angrier.

You know full well that the "signature" I manually removed from all your posts was NOT just your name. There was a link to your site in every single one.

Yes, but then the scenario that you posted in your clarification never happened. You just went and posted a link to another forum for no reason, not because "we are having a problem identifying a stamp or a cancellation of a particular country." I also notice that you didn't wait for any clarification from me, you acted right after the first response from another member..... Knowing that the last one you posted days ago was removed.
