Mixing up som jumbo...Cajun Sr. Welcome to the Stampcommunity Chat board, I am sure I will be asking many questions regarding my worldwide interests. See you specialize in France, and the French Colonies, I find it good, that a worldwide collector breaks the boredom and singles in on one country. I believe that Philb, is also a worldwide collector, and has a specialty album for Guatemala. I have a Scotts specialty album, for Germany, which goes up to 1962. and I have used the Steiner program, to print my own pages for the years after 1962, and right on up to 2004. |

bonjour mes amis et tout, i see after reading some of the threads that the site is starving for images of a person's collection. so I guess I should tantalize the audience with a few from my specialized french collection. look carefully, there is a major error. can you see it. if so, let me know what it is. I already know. enjoy: Image: frguineacvr1.jpg33.94 KB |

bonjour diane and bobgggg, first of all, that dadgum age thing needs a serious fixin'. got me down at age 12. bob, had you at 11, and I know you is older than that. and uglier too. and where is our friend phil? he's probably out watchin a movie? no problem, i'll just cook up some gumbo for diane, you and me. i see diane is an army vet too. and a northern coona**, cousin l'acadian. and yes, we have many with our famille name in the great white north. and a famous singer too, avril. even have a town named after us. oh no, now I have given myself away. but I am not rich and famous, just a poor ol' cajun who likes his stamp collecting. and fishin'. I think I will enjoy myself here along with my canuck cousins. merci et a bientot, bill. |

Hey Bill I can laugh caus when I started out I was 13(dont I wish). It took me 2 weeks to fix it. Go up to the blue line at the to and click My SCF then go to the calendar in your profile and read the directions (carefully not 'a la cajun' like I did). Et voila all fixed. Dianne |

from Gussyboy1. I love it that we newbies can pick you knowledgeable ones brains! ha We love photos here! I am still learning about EVERYTHING to do with stamps---I cross over from the coin forum but decided to continue with my Lincoln cent collection and get out the stamps and get going on those. I am still reading "Stamp Collecting for Dummies" that I won on this site! Thanks ahead of time for not thinking some of my questions are "dumb"! Gussyboy1 (Connie) |

Okay. My guess as a newbie stamp collector on the stamp error is that those two in the center top (pinkish/red) with +5 on them are different--one of them is an error??? Am I warm yet?

bonjour mes amis et tout, so you like cajun's brain teasers, eh. well there will be more. gussyboy1 is correct, the one semipostal is an inverted error. this cover was sent to a philatelic dealer I think and has his mark on the lower left corner. the 'error' is not listed in dallay or ceres french catalogs. a fake? maybe, but what the heck. it is a nice cover just the same, and some forgeries are worth even more to a speciality collector like myself. and to tom, merci beaucoup pour votre assistance. but one other question, can you put multiple images on one session?
amities, bill aka cajunsr. |

bonjour modern who, it actually translates to 'all has the method' or 'all to the method'. but we often see things like pie a la mode. but it is really 'la tarte avec glace la crème'. anyway you say it, it is a mouthful. yummmmm.
amities et a bientot, bill.
