Strange how the postcard is torn, but the bottom edge of the stamp seems to have not been torn! Also strange that the stamp seemed to have been placed in the wrong corner; had it been in the upper right corner, would it be a post-bisected bisect?

Perhaps the sender was using secret message "stamp language", in which the location and orientation of the stamp was used to add a bit of secret code to the letter. It was popular long ago, although there seemed to be many different interpretations of what the codes were supposed to mean, with different nations having different ideas.
