To insert the £ DJD
hold down the left ALT key on your keyboard,
then depress numbers 1,5,6 on the number pad RHS keyboard
and press enter

Hi djd, this code for ½ should work if you have numlock set on.

I can't remember these code values do I just use the Windows utility Character Map which is very handy for entering characters in Greek, Russian etc as well as various fractions and special characters. I've pinned Character Map to my Start menu so it's always easy to get to.
