Nice covers Philby! I picked up a couple Feldpost cards dirt cheap at the local flea market a few years ago, as soon as I dig them out I will scan them and share them.

Philb: Thanks for the info. I'll have to think about. There's a stamp show tomorrow in Latham which I can go to alone, but I can get the wife to a flea market.

Battlestamps the fellow I purchased the post cards from asked if I were interested in first flights..i asked what he had..two boxes..800 covers he asked 200 dollars..i was starting to think about it ...but my wife gave me the you have enough junk laying around look...the flights were from the 1960's..if they had been from the 1930's I would have taken them approval or no...if you want them and find the guy..he will take less !

Great finds Philb !
The Austria Preis card is lovely.

I am huge Flea Market enthusiast, which is why I started my own here. and take my tables elsewhere.

The Rhineback fairgrounds Flea Market sounds wonderful. Whan I finally get to the USA I will have to coincide my visit with the market !!

Londonbus1...Or should I come for a Stamp Exhibition ? A Dilemma !

Londonbus..when you come to New York we will find a gigantic flea market for you..unlike our friend the swabbie..i do have patience for a flea market..i like to think of myself as an amatuer picker..i do not have Bobggggs talent for getting the best price..which brings up a topic I have been thinking about..do I pay too much for an item..i will make a separate post !

Philb: I'll have to check the flea market out. I got "luckier" than normal at the Regency auction last night and kind of busted my stamp budget for awhile.

I'm still learning the NY/VT area. I know where most of the antique stores are located, but it's hard to find anything really good aside from a the occasional postcard. I'm learning where/when all the stamp shows are happening since many are not posted in the APS magazine (too expensive according to Harry Tong).

I haven't been to the Lantham show yet, but I have been to Covermania. I was able to get some good box lots from Harry there last time. However, I had my wife with me and couldn't stay too long.
