i like covers with the 2 cent Washington type of the era 1890-1903 in various printings and varieties..last night at the club I picked up a packet of 11 unused stamps from the various series of the 2 center...i was surprised when I saw the catalog values for many of them unused as they were certainly printed in huge numbers...i will have to spend some time studying them..anyone else do anything with this type ???

In the 1890 issue alone there were 6,000,000,000 printed.

I have a couple hundred of these and not a single one with a cap.
