I do not know much French so I think that is what it means. The number 1 and lots of airplane markings so I assumed.

Folded in four but since this is airmail paper and very thin it did not seem to affect the whole as much as you would think. Opened cleanly along the top edge.

Puzz:
The red cachet reads "1st Trip/Air Post/USA/Canada/France""

The oval cancel on the back is a Montreal AMF (Air Mail Facility). Along the bottom, in French, is reads "Air Post". I've never seen that sort of marking before.

"Recommande" means "Registered", and there's an octagonal "R" registration marking as well. A nice cover.

Dare I say it without getting shot? As this is light airmail paper, you could dampen it and press it in a drying book to minimise the creases. (please note that I won't be responsible if all the inks run! )

Well, I do have another green coloured airmail paper envelope that is not as nice (ripped stamp, bent envelope, not first flight) that I could experiment with. Good idea. Thanks.
