Is it just I or are others being affected collecting wise by the hot weather and outdoor activities of the season ????

I would consider not mowing the yard and start my own prairie grass reserve, but I don't think the neighbors would approve.

I would agree. After working outside for 9 hours per day I'm not up for much else. I did find two projectile points!

London is experiencing some great weather at the moment -- and when the sun shines here you dont waste any second of it. Crossing fingers for another warm braai/bbq weekend. P.S. anything above 16 degrees is warm here :)

For those still on the Fahrenheit system 16 C degrees Celsius in London, England (or here in Halifax, Canada) is about 62 F. It was only 10 C (50 F) here yesterday with strong winds out of the north (a small bit of wind chill in exposed areas) and rain so I was back to a winter coat, me being so delicate and all. Glad to get in and warm myself by my stamps.

But it has been up to 28 C (86 F) the other day. It comes and goes. Being by the ocean makes it a bit cooler too. Nice in the hot weather, a breeze off the water.

I find I do stamps no matter the weather but perhaps I am a bit lazy and low on the activities engaged in. It is nice to enjoy the nicer weather though.

Celsius to Fahrenheit = (C x 2) + 30 = F roughly.

I usually have a hobby "short list" of things I want to do when I get the time. Might be something like ID'ing the dozen German WW2 stamps that have eluded me or whatever. So even if I get side-tracked for a few days, occasionally I'll remember that I've got my "short list" and it kind of cheers me up!

Been working on a writing project, totally unrelated to stamps, I have just finished what appear right now as the longest three pages I have ever written.
And my laptop gave up the ghost just minutes after I copied everything to a flash-drive. Ya, good things still happen to me.
It's wonderful to come back to stamps except that a largish glassine of pre-1960 Russia is what's next for cataloguing.
Not exactly my favorite country, but ....

It is a cool 12C (53F)drizzly wet evening here, typical Vancouver area spring weather... same forecast for tomorrow (Saturday). Ah then maybe a great philatelic day! The wife is working all day, and I received lots of stuff this week from ebay, SCF members, etc so lots of sorting to do. Also getting a package ready for Stamperdudes Scouts... and searching local post offices for the recent marine life booklet varieties...so not a bad forecast after all!
