I found an unusual scott 2539 with a large SD perfin. Anyone know anything about this modern high denomination perfin? Also the SD is inverted. Dean

I do not have any perfins (piercings) myself....ducking. LOL! Sorry I couldn't help it.

I am not sure what company had this perfin. Very nice though.

David, I don't collect perfins, although I have a bunch. Is it common for the perfin to be inverted on this issue? Dean

Inverted perfins are common... the pane was fed in the wrong way.

Hello stampaddict! I must admit that perfins in Australian 1914-1938 KGVs is my favorite stamp collecting interest. In there day they were considered rubbish for collecting so there numbers today are smaller than they should be. To get well centred ones is even harder as the stamp printer of the day used the poorly perforated stamps for official punctures as they went to the government departments and not the general public. A real challenge for the modern day collector. Yes I love my perfins!
