Rod, I agree with your statement about gold and silver etc stamps and sheets. Many are quite ugly. However, if anyone here has held a 'Jerusalem of Gold' Miniature Sheet in their hand, they would see what can be done with gold leaf on stamps. Tastefully done and an excellent design, the gold enhances the end product like I have never seen before. Which leads me nicely to....... Quote: Dears LB and Rod
what are the going rates for those stamps.
Spock, Current going rate for the three items I showed are $12, $120 and $20 in the same order as shown. Londonbus1.....Golden days ! |

Quote: yikes. is ther eno way to get rid of the finger prints?
actually no, as it illustrates ideally two of the most important things in philately. Never mess with something you know nothing about (cleaning) and <that> is absolutely what is left behind when fingering stamps. Every time you press that stamp and hinge on your album page, you leave gunk. I once spied this collector at an auction, lift a penny black from a mount with tongs, then proceed to inspect both sides using his fingers |

They are certainly nice, but what part they play in philately, I am not sure. What I love is the Indian costume, probably a part of a mis spent youth as a hippie.
I remember the Indian lass who danced on Michael Jackson's video "black or white", in traditional dress, absolutely stunning.

Wow. Yes please Nugget My interest is the registration labels. Feel free to break up, I only need one cover of each as an example, (Lesotho and Mongolia) other members may have opportunity of having some/one. Someone tells me Lesotho is pronounced "Le su tu" is that correct? |

An engineer-acquaintance of mine who volunteers there from time to time pronounces it leh-SOO-too. So if that is how yours sounded, then I'd say we're pretty close.
