Awhile back I had mentioned that I was being given someone's stamp collection. Well, I got a big box of binders of stamps that are mainly a world wide collection. I'm still paging through about 4 of them right now and I will have more on that later, but I did find a binder of U.S. stamps.
They are Christmas Stamps of the United States Collector Panels published by the Postal Commemorative Society. The pages go from 1962-77 and then picks up in 1985-87. I guess that I am missing pages between 1978-84? There's also one panel that explains about the Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse with the stamp also.
Does anyone know anything else about this collection and where I can maybe find the years that I am missing? It's really rather a nice collection that I would like to see complete. Is the PSC still publishing these panels?
If you live in any area where you can get to stamp shows, what you seek show up in dealers show table stocks from time to time an can usually be gotten quite economically. Good luck in your pursuits. The joy is generally in the hunt.
