Europa stamps are issued once a year with a common theme. This year the theme is Letters.

A group of students at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design were given the challenge of designing drafts for the Swedish stamps as a part of their coursework.

Pontus Björlin won with his punctuation marks, the comma and the semicolon.

This is what he had to say about his design which will be released March 27:

"The way I see it, the strong intonation lies in the punctuation marks. The personal tone can be found between the lines, between the words."
