My heart goes out to this poor old soul, who had to fork over $ 97.50 for a deed  That was a lot of money in 1951. I figure that its for a deed, because The small amount of writing [ on the back ] mentions parcels and lots, ending on so and so street. Most southery corner, yada yada yada

Very nice piece! I collect revenues on documents. I have a few deeds from the forties and fifties with "Reds" on them. |

See the overprint "Series 1951." These stamps were overprinted each year in the 40s and 50s. I think the idea was to account for each year's tax revenues. I'm sure it was a lot of work and finally they gave up with the overprints and issued them without overprints. |

i got some rr documents a long time ago.one was from 1857 buying rr ties and it had a document stamp on it I check it to the stamp guide very common stamp. I sold it for 25.00 . |
