take a look at this sale, I SOOOOOO want this but its not going to happen.

Some poor Husband lost the fight on what to keep during summer cleaning.

39 Scott's international albums, they look nice too I need a layaway plan for like 4 years

1. With the exception of a page or two in Section III the stamps are all recent - ergo low to nil value

2. The Eastern European countries predominate - low to nil value

3. Specifically the Canada shown are worth maybe $5

4. Total value of this collection - based on the examples shown - I'd say is maybe $750.

Pay attention to the disclaimers. They say that there are many vacancies in these volumes.

I think they are really selling them for the binders and pages, not the stamps. The binders and pages brand new are really expensive.

I agree with Battlestamps and Moonbird. Good you can't afford it Edwin !
In fact, I would value the stamps even lower than Moonbird.

I have no idea at all of the Album values.

To buy these new from Potomac supplies you are looking at close to $5800 and that's because they are on sale. It doesn't include any slipcases, taxes, shipping, nor page protectors or separators. Yep, printing your own album pages looks pretty darn good.

Ya, I was drooling over the actual albums, not really the stamps. as you know I'm a Scott's Guy, and still just dreaming of getting my books up to 1970... the inside of my books are pristine, the binders however have seen better days...

o well I don't have the shelf space for that kind of foolishness...

this is what I have right now.

hahaha.. my stuff is a collection of 1 US album, 1 World album, 7 or 8 FDC albums , plus several albums that contain envelopes, APS junk, souvenir cards, mint sheets, documents with stamps on them, etc..

Edwin, there you go..build your own collection..we all think we are unique...keep checking ebay and you will find like I did the albums to take you out to 1970...the most economical are the ones that have been used but with relatively few stamps...i may have averaged paying 40 dollars apiece for mine...

Stamp virgin, don't get jealous they are almost completely empty except for the few hundred stamps I've gotten in them this month. I bought them void of stamps neat mint inside.
its one thing to have the albums its a whole other game filling them...

Thanks guys for the pats on the back, ya my average is $55 maybe slightly lower for albums but I've not been very patient as I wanted to improve my core albums so I could start placing stamps.

the Catalogs I got really cheap $45 (2006) & $54 (2008) including shipping for the sets, I was going to gift the 2006 to my family, but they got a set so maybe I'll ebay it and see if I can cost neutral the 2 purchases. its a good day when you break even.

I'm not sure about my judgment I kinda got bid happy on ebay those new in wrapper SI pages for VOL 10 & 11 went against my better judgment and paid 50'ish each and they have no binder, however I kept telling myself they are MINT never used, which is what I want.

O well, we will see
