I like the expression of the man's face on this one and how they designed it like the way the WSJ draws faces using a style known as "HedCut". Very nicely done I think.

One of my all time favourites too, Marc.
beautifully done.

There is always argument if it should read the noun "Aborigine"
or adjective "Aboriginal"

Haha, glad you like it Rod. It really is nicely done.

I tend to stay out of politically correct arguments :)

By the way, in case what I mentioned about "HedCut" didn't make any sense, this explains it:

By the way, speaking of HedCut drawn stamps, this one of Einstein is very nice too.

Even better: that one looks a bit like SG 253ba, the 1965 emergency reprint of this stamp. (Needed to fill in for the last few months before we switched to decimal currency in February 1966.) If it is the SG 253ba, it's priced at £13, against £4.50 for SG 253b (on unwatermarked paper) or £1.50 for SG 253 (on watermarked paper).

Thanks Tony. I'll have a look. My copy actually has a bit of a dirt splotch on it though. More like a dirty finger smudge mark it looks like at the top right. I had retouched it out before posting the previous picture, but here is the original.

Another nicely drawn HedCut stamp. The detail on this one is amazing.
