Here is the Kansas City Roulette of the one cent (Scott 408). The rouletting was done with official sanction.

A pair of 408 imperf is no big deal. The roulettes go for more. I don't mind telling all that the pair was $75 USD

I found the link to the Arago site that battlestamps had posted in the thread "Another Mystery - Washington/Franklins" (Apr 7, 2010).

That's an interesting story behind the roulette and something I was completely unaware of.

With less than 100,000 perf'd in this manner, I can see why there is a premium.
