Not sure if I'm on the right forum to post this or not, but I'll start here.

U.S. Customs Service stamp/label scanned below shows no monetary amount so does that make it a Cinderella? However, with a SN, cancellation, etc., it must have been used to officially acknowledge something that went through Customs.

Can someone date it and/or shed light on its use? It has a "193" printed on the stamp below "Service" so I assume that to be a series number.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one.

Your assumption is correct. This is a "Customs Inspected Baggage" stamp. This would fall under The heading of Cinderella. However, they are active collected by Revenue Stamp Collectors.

Back of the Book material has been my specialty since I was about 15 years old(over 30 years). So, It's my pleasure to be of assistance. Besides what good is the knowledge if it isn't shared.

There is an excellent article on the ARA Website about these. It also contains an updated catalog of them. Yours is a type 11.
