As to the people who've been or coming to my little country, I can't help but notice you stay/have stayed in the western part of it. Not to say that isn't interesting, but when you have the chance, also visit the province of Brabant. The old cities of Breda and Den Bosch are very worthwhile, and very near Eindhoven we have the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh, the small village of Nuenen, and a very nice War Museum in the village of Overloon.
I certainly wanted to visit the east and south east (even thought about funny Friesland) but traveling to those places required longer train trips and not really easy to do day trips. I wanted to see Den Helder, north of Alkmaar, but the train trip to Alkmaar from Amsterdam was already a few hours longer and Den Helder was even further. Places like Enkhuizen and Volendam were close but had no train line so it wasn't possible to go other than by bus. For the south east I think I had to change trains in Utrecht and then it became difficult and time consuming.
Maybe another time when I go for Holidays of my own.
Thanks for the tips!
