I happen to have SG open right now, so I can give you that information, at least. I believe it is SG #F2, dull violet from 1874. A couple years ago it had a CV of 42 pounds. I assume yours perfs 15.5x15. There was a later issue, F5, from 1902, that is perf 14, with much higher CVs, but that is dull mauve in color. Your color might have faded a bit in soaking?

B62 and 62B were Hong Kong obliterators, so your appears to have seen postal use. F2 was valid for postal use from 1874 until withdrawn in 1902.

[edit: The Scott number for the 1874 issue is #27.]

In the very soon to be superseded 2010 Gibbons Part 1, SG F2 rates £48 used.

Thanks to all. I got the F2, the perfs are 15.5 X 15. Another keeper in my collection.

Cheers,
